Your account
A key only you hold.
Encrypted backup keeps your reflections across your devices, sealed before they leave this one. Where your data lives is a separate choice, in Settings.

Message support
This one isn't encrypted. Unlike your reflections, a support message is stored in plain text and can be read by the person answering it. Please don't include anything from your examination or confession here.
How the encryption works
Before anything is uploaded it is encrypted on this device with a key derived from your password. The server stores only sealed ciphertext: never your key, or a single word you marked. We hold no key, so there are no known ways for us to read your conscience, even if we were ordered to. You can delete everything you have stored, at any time.
