Getting Started
About iConfess
I started iConfess after looking on the app store and realizing that there wasn't an easy-to-use confession guide on the app store with everything someone would need to get started. My goal in creating this app was to break down some of the common barriers associated with confession. Confession can be intimidating, so I wanted to include a step-by-step guide on how to go to confession, complete with a thorough examination of conscience. Often, we simply don't know where the nearest confession is/at what time, so I also included a way to look up churches nearby. Other times, we will simply just forget to go to confession, so I created a system where you could set reminders for yourself when it had been a while since your last time.
Who Am I? My name is Xavier Polisetty, and I am a seminarian, studying for the priesthood for the Diocese of Fort Worth. I would like to thank my rector and my bishop for giving me the freedom and flexibility to let me work on this project, I hope that it has proven at least slightly helpful to you.
Because this is a side project for me (and not my job), I have the luxury of making this completely free for anyone who downloads it. iConfess has no ads, doesn't sell any user data, and has no other ways of monetization. However, there have been some development costs (UI design, hosting), so I would appreciate it if you could support future development by making a donation, which is best done by emailing me (link below).
I have a list of features that I am planning to add to iConfess, and I am always looking to add more, so if you have any suggestions please let me know. Additionally, I have been creating this app in my limited free time within a tight seminary schedule, so if you have any skills that you think would be helpful to the further development of iConfess, please don't hesitate to contact me, I would really appreciate any help.
